Crestline & Lake
Gregory Area Information
Crestline is made up of
several small areas:
Top Town
- Exit at the Crestline Bridge/Hwy 138 and travel to the cross streets of Crest
Forest Drive & Lake Drive and you will be at the main intersection of Top Town, now known as "Historic Old Crestline".
This long strip of commercial business and residences is the original settlement
in Crestline. It continues to be a center for local business.
Valley View Park - Take Crest Forest Drive to the left and you will arrive
in Valley View Park. Homes on the rim edge have wonderful views of the Inland
Empire Valley by day and fabulous twinkling city lights by night. Located in this
area are Teddy Bear Hill, Camp Pavika and many launching points for hang gliders.
Skyland - This is one of the original communities and has many rustic &
lodge style homes and cabins. Take Crest Forest Drive to the right and you will
arrive in Skyland. Homes on the rim edge have wonderful views of the Inland Empire
Valley by day and fabulous twinkling city lights by night.

Lake Gregory/San Moritz - Cross Crest Forest Drive
straight through onto Lake Drive and you will arrive in downtown Crestline, which
is home to beautiful Lake Gregory. Lake Gregory is maintained by the San Bernardino
Regional Park District and is open to the public and offers many activities for
the outdoor enthusiast. It is very popular for fishing, boating & swimming. It
is approx. 2-1/2 miles around and has a well defined hiking trail around the shoreline.
This is the location of the San Mortiz Lodge where weddings and other events can
be held. There is a ball field and Senior Center in this area, as well as the
availability of camping at Camp Switzerland. The area offers large homes and cozy
chalets, many with lake views, and is home to Lake Gregory Elementary School.

Dart Canyon & Valley of the Moon - Not far past the shores of Lake Gregory
are the two communities of Dart Canyon and Valley of the Moon. Dart Canyon has
many vintage ranches with livestock & long standing orchards, as well as dense
forests of Live Oak trees. Valley of the Moon is a magical and quaint area with
seasonal streams, boulder formations and its own pond (which looks like a little
moon). It was the original location of the San Moritz Lodge.
Valley of Enchantment - This older community of cabins & homes is well
established and complete with industrial business'. It is somewhat of a meadow
with a very large creek wandering through it. It is home to Valley of Enchantment
Elementary School, a Morman Church & Camp Seely. It is famous for Heart Rock,
a natural rock formation created by the stream carving out a heart shape in one
of the huge boulders. The trail head is just past Camp Seely.
Mile High Park - This remote community is well developed and has views
of the desert valley (Hesperia/Las Vegas).
Cedarpines Park - This remote community is well developed and is populated
with ranches and lodge-style homes. The ridge area homes enjoy views of the desert
and Lake Silverwood.
